This is the second book in the series. Margaret is finally going to be with her Captain, or is she? One of the obstacles she has to deal with in her relationship with Captain Todd Withers – is her mother. Margaret is now the widow of the world renown, Alec Mitchell, who was also known as The Pepper King of India. Her mother, Clarice Wallingham, believes the Captain an unsuitable match for her daughter; however, the good Captain has a secret. But this isn't Margaret's only problem to deal with.
Margaret’s stepson, Drake, has inherited a mass fortune that she controls. This doesn’t set well with Lawrence Mitchell, the boy’s uncle. His desire is to control the fortune by getting custody of his nephew. Is he the one that is keeping Margaret from the man she loves? Or is it another?
Follow the lives, relationships, and intrigues of Margaret and Todd, Lawrence and Olivia Mitchell, Margaret’s son, Drake, and his two friends, Eric Mitchell and William Braxton, as their stories are intertwined with Margaret’s adventure. I was born, in Louisville, Kentucky, and currently live in Bowling Green. I was married in 2007 for the first time at the tender age of 50. I took creative writing in high school, and found I enjoyed it. Some authors have a favorite author whose work inspired them. My inspiration was Edgar Rice Burroughs, the creator of Tarzan; however it was his Martian series that I am most find of.
As I was rewriting my first novel, High Seas, to its current form, I’m surprised I was able to finished it. My husband kept continually asking me, “Are you done yet?”
I retired from twenty-years of teaching Taekwon-do, in which I hold a fourth degree black belt. I dabbled in fencing for a short while. Currently, I attend Mid-Continent University and am working on my Bachelors Degree.
